You’ll gain 24 ICF CCE credits and 32 hours of coaching toward your ACC Portfolio Path Certification with ICF, in addition to 24 HRCI CEUs and 24 SHRM PDCs.

Certification Requirements

  • Attend all 8 classes in eight monthly sessions
  • Complete all class assignments
  • Complete the self development plan
  • Complete over 30 hours of coaching
  • Complete a final exam

Upon completion of these requirements, you will receive your certificate via email

 

Online Sessions

Online Sessions are 3 hours long and meet once a month on the same day (e.g.,2nd Tuesday of the month). Once you register, you will receive confirmation of all meeting dates and times. Each session is facilitated live by an experienced OD Consultant.

Program Sessions

1.  Introduction to Executive Coaching (3 hours)

In this session, participants gain an awareness of the program requirements, review current trends in Executive Coaching, and become acquainted with the ICF Code of Ethics, Core Coaching Competencies, and IOD Coaching Process and Model.

2.   Building the Coaching Relationship (The Opening) (3 hours)

This session provides you with an overview of the ICF Code of Ethics and Competency Model.  In addition, you will be introduced to the IOD Coaching Model and Coaching Mindsets.  You will practice conducting the pre-session Sponsor Meeting and Step 1 of the Coaching Model.

3.  Setting Expectations / Exploration and Discovery (3 Hours)

This session provides you with an overview of effective communications skills to apply to your coaching sessions

4.  Using Assessments and Development Plans, Identifying Options and Obstacles  (3 hours)

This session provides you with an overview of using assessments for creating individual development plans and to identify the options and obstacles facing the coachee

5. Taking Action / Gaining Closure (3 hours)

This session also provides you with an overview of and the use of appropriate coaching styles and helpful tools and techniques to maximize your coaching effectiveness

6. Implementing a Coaching Strategy (3 hours)

In this session, participants learn how to plan and conduct follow-up discussions with the coachee, follow-up on action plans, address issues and new challenges, and provide coaching for improvement.

7. Coaching in a VUCA Environment (3 hours)

In this session, the focus is on the impact and application of today’s VUCA environment in our executive coaching world.  Horizontal and vertical development tools and processes will be provided to help the coachee challenge their thinking process.

8. Evaluating, Giving Feedback  (3 hours)

In this session, participants learn how to measure the success of the coaching, how to prepare the transition and separation process when the coaching assignment ends, and how to follow up with the initial client to evaluate the outcomes.  Also, prepare the coachee to continue their self-development outside of the coaching relationship.
